Welcome to Honilands

At Honilands, our motto is simple but powerful: “We are One.”

It captures who we are as a school. We are one community, made up of children, families and staff from a wonderfully diverse range of backgrounds, cultures and experiences. We celebrate those differences, while ensuring that every child has a strong sense of belonging and knows that they are an important part of our school.

Situated in North East Enfield, Honilands is a warm, inclusive and ambitious school with a calm and welcoming atmosphere. We are fortunate to have a spacious and attractive site of around four acres, including a large playing field, a small woodland area, a school pond and generous outdoor spaces for play and learning. Our Early Years children benefit from dedicated outdoor provision, and we are introducing Forest School in Reception to strengthen opportunities for exploration, independence and learning outdoors.

“We are One” means that every child matters. We believe that background, starting point or individual need should never limit aspiration. Our staff work hard to understand each child, remove barriers to learning and provide the support and opportunities they need to succeed.

Inclusion is central to life at Honilands. Alongside our strong mainstream provision, we are proud of our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP), which supports pupils with more complex needs within the wider life of the school. We want every child to feel part of the Honilands community, to be known well and to have the right support to flourish.

We have high expectations for all our pupils and want them to leave Honilands confident in themselves, proud of what they have achieved and excited about what comes next.

Our school values are reflected through SAIL: Strong Relationships, Aspirations for All, Inclusivity and Lifelong Learning. These principles shape both the education we provide and the kind of community we want our children to grow up in.

Strong relationships are at the centre of our school. Positive relationships between staff and pupils, staff and parents, and pupils and their peers help create the calm, respectful and supportive culture that we value so highly. Children learn best when they feel secure, understood and encouraged, and when school and home work together.

Our learning environment reflects the high expectations we have for our children. Classrooms are well resourced and carefully organised, every pupil has access to a Chromebook, and children benefit from a well-equipped library and high-quality playground provision. We want our school environment to be both purposeful and inspiring: a place where children feel proud to learn.

Through a broad and engaging curriculum, enrichment opportunities and strong pastoral support, we develop academic knowledge alongside creativity, resilience, independence and a genuine love of learning.

Honilands supports children from the age of two through to Year 6, enabling families to become part of our community from the very beginning of their child’s educational journey. As part of Children First Academy Trust, we also benefit from close collaboration with other local schools, shared expertise and a collective commitment to providing the very best education for every child.

Most importantly, Honilands is a school where children are known, cared for and encouraged to believe in themselves and one another. We want our pupils to understand that they have both an individual responsibility and a responsibility to the community around them.

Different backgrounds. Different talents. Different starting points.

One school, one community and one shared ambition for every child.

We are One.

We are very proud of Honilands and warmly invite you to explore our website, visit our school and discover what makes our community so special.
