Applying for a Place
Joining Honilands Primary School
We are delighted that you are considering Honilands Primary School for your child.
Honilands provides education from age two through to Year 6, and we welcome applications for our TWOs provision, Nursery, Reception and other year groups.
We know that choosing a school is an important decision and warmly encourage prospective families to visit Honilands, meet our staff and see our school in action.
Honilands TWOs
Our TWOs provision offers two part-time classes:
-
a morning session
-
an afternoon session
Children can usually start in January, April or September, in the term after their second birthday, subject to eligibility and places being available.
Eligible families can access up to 15 hours of funded early education each week through Enfield's Early Learning for 2-year-olds scheme, previously known as Terrific Twos.
You can check eligibility and find out how to apply through:
Enfield Early Learning for 2-year-olds
You can also text TERRIFIC to 81025 for support from Enfield's Informed Families service.
Once you have confirmed your eligibility, please contact the school office to discuss availability and applying for a place at Honilands.
Nursery and Reception Classes
Starting Nursery
Honilands has a Nursery class for children in the academic year before they start Reception. This means children are usually three years old when they begin Nursery and turn four during the school year.
Applications for Nursery places are coordinated through Enfield Council.
For current application information, eligibility dates and deadlines, please visit:
Enfield Council – Nursery Admissions
Applications are made through the eAdmissions website when the application window is open.
Please note that attending Honilands Nursery does not automatically guarantee a place in Reception. A separate application must be made for a Reception place.
If you are looking for a Nursery place during the school year, information is available through:
Enfield Council – Nursery In-Year Admissions
Reception
Applications for Reception places are coordinated by Enfield Council as part of the borough-wide primary admissions process.
