Safeguarding

Safeguarding Statement

Honilands Primary School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our pupils. We expect every member of our community, including staff, volunteers, visitors, and families, to uphold this commitment to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.

Our school rigorously follows comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures in line with statutory guidance and the London Borough of Enfield's safeguarding protocols. These include our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and Internet Safety Policy, all of which are available on our Policies and Procedures page. We prioritise clear communication with parents and carers about safeguarding concerns, except in circumstances where this may compromise the child's safety. At times, we may collaborate with external agencies to address and resolve safeguarding concerns.

All staff and volunteers at our school undergo enhanced DBS checks. Additionally, all staff have a legal duty of care to report any concerns regarding a child’s welfare immediately to our safeguarding team.

Photography and Videography Guidelines

We recognise the joy that photographs and videos of school events bring to parents and carers, and encourage capturing these moments responsibly. Any images or videos taken at school events are intended solely for private family enjoyment and must not be shared publicly or posted online, including social media platforms. If you prefer that your child not be photographed or recorded, please inform the school office.
